Jay Robb is a good brand and if you want to go Vegan Vega One is surprisingly really good. You can also go to bodybuilding.com and find great brands. If you don't mind the price isagenix is a good brand, but it is pricey and you have to basically buy from an affiliate in your area.
http://www.proteinpow.com is another great recipe source. It's how I handle all my chocolate cake cravings!

There is one called Phood that is pretty good. It is planted based but has no soy. :)
I use a mix of 70:30 pea protein/rice protein. It has a pretty neutral flavour and apparently a good balance of amino acids. I just prefer to buy my proteins without anything added so I can sweeten and flavour according to my whim of the day. Hemp is a good one protein powder too, but very, um, hempy! It needs strong flavours with it or it can be overpowering.
yep ive just hopped on the hemp protein wagon too !! its supposed to be easy on the stomach and better digested than other whey or soy proteins. yes strong earthly flavour!! but it is growing on me. goes well with coconut water, or soy/nut milks =)
I use optimum nutrition casein powder in chocolate extreme. Whey gives me heartburn! It's good on its own but I mix it in my blender with ice and milk and peanut butter which makes it awesome. Sometimes I throw in an egg and banana just because. Ends up like a meal.
PlantFusion in vanilla bean flavor for this gal! All plant proteins and easy on the tummy. A I must add, finding a Blender Bottle has made shakes on the run way easy:) and LESS clumpy!
Whether plant-based protein powders are easy on the digestive tract really depends on the particular source and the person who is digesting it. Some plant protein powders/isolates commonly cause digestive upset (soy, I'm looking at you), while others (e.g. hemp, rice) tend to be better tolerated.
This one is soy free. I have a sensitive stomach, for me it's great. Just wanted to share the brand I found, options are awesome. I see a lot of us have a favorite protein mix:)
For sure, sharing is good! :) It's always nice to hear about products we might not know about. While we're throwing in, Orgain is my favorite. I can actually drink their chocolate just mixed with water--it's the only powder I've tried that I can get down without fruit, ice, etc.. Their premixed vegan chocolate shake is also really good, and the vanilla powder is great in smoothies, but too sweet for me to drink straight.
