I have metal jousts in the ceiling. HELP!!

Ok. I am new to pole dancing and am getting ready to begin taking some classes. I bought a Lil Mynx removable pole (not a rotator) started to get it set up and SURPRISE I have metal jousts in the ceiling. I thought maybe I just hit a screw or something but tried in another place and hit metal as well. I was reading on the site and several other places and they say to use a toggle bolt and that will be just fine. OK. Can anyone give me some advice on this. I seem to be a little uneasy with trusting that I will not bust my butt to a toggle bolt. Has anyone done this or know of someone that has used a toggle bolt to hold up a pole? Please let me know. Hmmm I'm not familiar with the lil mynx pole its self but... don't use a toggle its not safe. S There is usually 2 types of metal used in that type of beam. Once is cast iron the other is just a folded piece of metal and wouldn't be sturdy enough to hold your pole. I hope you get it work out. 🌸

Has anyone used a toggle/butterfly bolt like on the website and had it with out. I'm having he same problem

Maybe you can use it on your balcony. Ive never heard anyone with metal ceiling before. I remember asking apt a lot of questions about the ceiling before I got a pole

Are you guys thinking of selling it to buy a pole that doesn't involve ceiling fixations

Yes, but it is brand new, so I will want more than for a used one.

Nevermind, I just got it installed securely by a licensed handy man for only $30! I would suggest anyone who is having this problem to call the handyman and have it done right :)
