I got a straight edge!

And it's on tape! So I've been struggling with the straight edge for awhile and it came up yesterday while I was with my studio veena peeps at pole pressure. I gave it a whirl and it must have been my adrenaline going from being with so many cool ass people....because I got it! Guccichic (Crystal) and JungleCat caught it on tape and here is the link to Crystals vid. I can't exlain how happy I was to get this move, and then an aysha and jack knife too? After this I sat down for awhile to gather myself (and rest my feet) because I was just too happy to think straight! Here's to getting new moves! 🥂 🫡 http://ver3.studioveena.com/lessons/view/2057

I'm sure you'll get to see it in person soon... this was only the first of many, many split grip straight edges for Sissy. Soon she'll be doing it all the time, I bet!

I'm still pretty pissed at myself for not seeing it in action even though I was like.. four feet away. I know! You so weren't even paying attention to me 🙁 You're so self centered! LOL Stellar I am probably going to be doing this all the time because I love it! And it's the coolest thing I can do so far, LOL.

LOL Sissy, I figured you'd be doing it a lot now. When I got my cartwheel mount handspring I was so excited about it that I did it every time I was near a pole for weeks. Funny thing is, nailing my handspring was what gave me confidence (and probably strength) to do inverted split grip moves. That's what I want to do all the time now too... so we're kind of in the same boat! I just love doing the straight edge in split grip.

Well, you made it seem easy, we'll see! Did you learn split grip first for extended butterfly and straight edge? Do you think straight edge or straight edge split is easiest?

Hi Carrie, I think (personally) the straight edge spit is easier then the straight edge because I felt it was easier to balance myself with my legs open. Holding myself up in a straight edge, keeping my body in a straight line was harder for me. But that's just me. I also got a reverse aysha before I could do the aysha or straight edge. I think I'm just all over the place. LOL

Awww...hell yeah! Sissybuns, this has been one of the best posts ever! Thanks for sharing the order of how you learned the moves!!! Sometimes, talking it out really helps! I didn't even know that a reverse aysha existed but after watching some vids decided to give it a shot since you said you learned that one first and guess what...I did it! It was a little shaky one (no where near what you do) but I did it! I'm gonna stick with this one for awhile and practice on both sides to build up my arm and core strength before the I give the regular aysha a go! Thank you so so much! 😀 My hub jokingly sent me a text this morning bf work saying to learn a new move to show him tonight. I got an archer and a reverse aysha today! Can't wait to see the look on his face! 🥂 👸 One question on the reverse aysha: as I keep trying it, I notice that my woman area is still touching the pole when my legs go out. Is that how it's supposed to be or will I get further away from the pole as I get better? 😕
