thanks ladies!!! anticipation! ps. i'm not made of money, but make a decent wage. my mom gave me $400 for a plane ticket to visit her in WY, i was going to pay half. she gave me a ton extra, and we got a steal on the ticket--round trip $263! so i have an extra $250 i need to pay her back. BUT she said whenever i am able, so i asked to make sure, she said fine, so next paycheck i'll pay her back 🙂 i told her i was getting rollerblades, (which i'll get later for $200), she was very happy... 😉 i'll say it was too cold or i was out of town at a concert or...? ahaha! it arrived in chicago, i got trackinngggg however, i had to have it delivered to my house you should post what kind of labels we'll get on the box, veena... 😳 100% pure pink stripper pole inside! or something 😉 i can't have it delivered to work so it might be a couplea extra days to sign the thing from fedex and tell them i'm coming to get it, since i'm at work all day. haha

I got my pole not too long ago and the packaging isn't that obvious... just be prepared - the box weighs nearly 40 pounds, and it's like 3 feet long by 2 feet wide or something like that. (my box is still on the porch, I should go measure it...) It'll have a couple warning labels on the side of it that are like bright orange, but I think they just say something about the wax or whatever they put on it to protect the pole. The rest is regular ol' white labels that will say x-pole with the return address, but it's not like there's a huge "X-POLE STRIPPER POLE!" label on it or anything. When the delivery guy took it to my mom's house (couldn't get to my house), he told her he thought it was a swing of some kind; so there you go, even the guy handling the box couldn't tell what it was! 😂
thanks 🙂 i know, i saw it said 36.9 pounds! so i'm still glad i had it delivered to my house, i've worked there for 7 years and anyone/everyone would have asked me what it is 🙂 i'm not going to say its a swing either 😉 they know i live by myself in an apt and have boyfriends over 😉 ahaha

🤔 I give up... the one post said "I HAD it DELIVERED" so I assumed the usage of the past tense meant it had been delivered. But making the delivery arrangements without the actual delivery itself taking place would still warrant the use of the past tense, so.... Ok sorry, was a Spanish major in college so I read quite a bit into grammar sometimes. 🤓
I just bought one myself for tonight!!! Can't wait to get one either!!!! I agree I am also nervous!! 😁
i can't believe all the people gettin poles!!! u pole sellers must be making a lot of money! is it always this busy?? I JUST GOT MY POLE UP MY POLE UP MY POLE UUUPPP 🙂 🙂 🙂 AHAHA i did the warm up and now i get to monkey around man my arms are weak 🙂 so funnnn Andrea you should give me your # and come over my friend says the bottom extension seems to be unscrewing if i would go around to the left. i dunno he's heavier and i go around to the right this thing is weird to put up. lissssss!!!

If it's unscrewing then something's wrong... when it's up correctly it won't unscrew. First check and make sure you're fully in static mode, and then maybe you should take it down and put it back up again... Double check all the joints before you do the final tightening in the adjuster screw. Screw it all together by hand, put the dome up and all and just as the dome starts touching the ceiling (enough that the base won't spin on the floor) go back through with one of the rods and do a final turn on each of the joints. Then go back up and tighten the adjuster screw all the way. It shouldn't loosen itself... Good luck!
thanks jacq i'll do that i didn't recognize u at first w/ur new name 🙂 you guys i got my own pole! i was tired out so didn't put it up til yesterday its like christmas in spring! i have a huge special pole in my house...! that is hard, to get your hand/wrist muscles to grip. but it grips to my skin too well, kinda hurts. and somehow while erecting i got a nasty cut on my finger 🙁 my neighbor helped me put it up, and everyone is so happy that i'm excited, but i said, 'i better be, for $300 right?' 😉 plus $70 for the class! and we don't get class easter weekend 🙁 🙁 🙁 so i'm cleaning it with rubbing alcohol, cuz i think thats what the class does...is that right? what do you use? oo, i love this, i have a huge area rug that covers the whole room, (and its under furniture so its not going anywhere), but it has squares! so i can move it just along the line to stay on the joist, AND remember where to put it back up when i take it down 🙂 i like this idea. and i can remove the carpet if i want to, i have hardwood floors underneath. OH and i got a $3 magnetic level which is MADE for xpole, sticks right on there 🙂 and a $20 stud-finder which the older guy at home depot said, without pausing a beat, will work through plaster. i was having trouble being sure about a joist, so i got one. seemed to work well double-checking with the knocks, and made me feel much more confident about my rented ceiling 🙂 lis ps. this is healthy inspiration to not overeat 🙂 its hard getting these extra 10 pounds up and over on the pole 🙂 rather than getting neurotic about body image or boys or whatev 🙂 this is just a picture of my fave blythe dolls my phone cam is full and haven't emptied it yet for new POLE PIC 🙂 http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c72/LisaSays/l_b984846a979135dcab88696e089b056d.jpg
