So, after poling for a while today, about 3 of my fingers are numb. Tingly numb, similar to the sensation when one of your limbs falls asleep. No pain, just numbish 😕 Has anyone else had experience with this? What to do?!?!? Oh, and THANks! 😀

This happened to three of my toes, once, at pole class. It was actually hard to walk when I couldn't feel part of my foot, and it lasted for a good hour or so. I don't know if it has anything to do with poling in itself, though. I also once had my thumb go numb for a few days and then it just got better. I would probably just chalk it up to being your body being weird. On the other hand (no pun intended), better safe than sorry - if they're still numb in a day or so or they start to hurt, I would probably suggest you go to the doctor.
It could be a pinched nerve? My fingers were nub for a week or so kinda the same sensation you are describing. One of the physical therapist I work with gave me some stretches to do and it eventually worked itself out. I also had alot of pain in my back at the same time though.
Hi Omily, I had this when I started, turns out I was grippping the pole a bit too tight when doing spins. I kept on and on though, when I took a break for a couple of weeks the numbness went away, was a little scary for a while as I couldn't do basic, fiddley stuff like put the key into my front door or do zips on my coat up! Also in the winter when the pole is really cold and I stick it to, that used to cause numbness, I've just put the heating on a bit more and that seems to get rid of it, touch wood i've not had it since this time last year.
