I'm new - and I live in Australia...

Hi guys 😀 I am somewhat new to the site (at least I haven't done any intro's yet). I have sort of noticed that most of you are in the US - well we are poling over here in Aus too! I have been pole dancing for a year now and I just got my Xpole installed the other day on oh god oh god oh god I LOVE IT!! Hehe - I had the equivalent of a peekaboo before - very very very painful horrible thing. I watched the 'why peekaboo sucks the movie' and laughed my ass off, but seriously there should really be some sort of regulation standard poles have to meet... anyway thats a different topic all together. I haven't posted anything yet (I don't even have a pic god I'm lame!) - but I am working on it. Lately I have been feeling a little hopeless in the pole department - online all you girls are like ultra flexible and it seems like a lot of you guys are dancers too. I can do heaps of tricks - but I haven't really got the same fluidity and grace in my dancing - and definately not splits up the pole!! Is there anybody who was like me and is now awesome...? Hehe I'm fishing for inspirational stories 😀 Anyway if you got to here thanks for reading my long intro!! Pole hard biatches!!! 😉

So you're in New Zealand's West Island!! 😂 Jamilla has her studio in Stanmore and readily takes students. She's lovely and a wonderful teacher. Pole divas in Melbourne has a good rep here too. Welcome to the site from another antipodean. There's a great Australasian community here.

welcome welcome!!!!!! im so jealous of your cute little accent i imagine you have! there's a lot of talent on this site, im so jealous of the girls who can do splits!!, especially on the pole! be sure to come to chat on fridays to meet the regulars!

Hey hun I'm new too, & Australian! Whereabouts do you live? I was born in Sydney & lived around NSW until we moved UK when I was 10. Moving back to Aus this September, can't wait! I'll certainly be bringing my pole with me too heh. How often do you stretch? Just before a pole session, or a few times during the day? Well anyways, whenever you've got a couple of minutes to spare do some stretching & you'll notice the difference soon :]

Hey hey and welcome to the best pole dance/fitness website there is!! 🌸 Im the least flexible person ever!! Im working on it at the moment though. One of the most important pieces of advice about stretching, that I got here, is that you have to make sure you warm up before you stretch. Some suggestion that Ive gotten: Do a 5 minute jog or aerobic work out or get a hot bath or you could do like I do and just stretch after a good pole work out. Veena has some stretching videos in her lessons and I think Fleur has one posted here too. Best of luck with it anyway! You've really come to the right place. Hope you can get pics or videos soon. I bet you're not half as bad as you think. We can be our own worst critics sometimes!!! 🙄

Hey Nikki-Christie!!!! Mad love from the US all the way to you in Australia! ☀️ I'm so glad you got your X-Pole!!! I've never had a peak-a-boo pole but i've read enough horror stories on these forums that I automatically flinch when I see the words "peak-a-boo"!!! I'm even flinching as I write it LOL 😂 I'm a male beginner myself so I understand the frustration you are feeling. I wish I could do the splits on the pole too!! LOL The stretching tips Trena gave you were excellent but you know something...I think it's amazing that Trena says she's the least flexible person ever yet she is one of the most graceful and fluid dancers I've ever seen! I mean really!! Her March Challenge video looked like she was underwater. It was beautiful. I think that goes to show that you don't have to be super ultra rubber bandy flexible to find fluidity and grace. So keep at it!! And I agree with her. I'm sure you are being a tough critic on yourself. I bet you are simply delightful. 😉 Jungle Cat 🐱

Aw you guys are all so lovely! I'm in the right place! Thanks for the tips and the encouragement! I have come down with the flu at the moment - so the pole video I am working on is on hold temporarily - but I'll try and get it up by next week latest. Ah this place is awesome 😀 nobody treats you like a sleeze for being into poledancing - very refreshing.

Welcome! I'm originally from Australia (Newcastle, NSW) 🙂 I moved to the U.S just under a month ago. I know there is a least a handful of other Australians tucked away here. There are plenty of talented dancers on this site, I have picked up a few tricks to look fluid and transitions just by watching the videos. Feel better soon! 🌸

hehehe Trena I is not lyin!!! You know you the bomb girl!!! I always watch your March Challenge video and try to learn those spins you did! My spins are horrible but yours are just breath-taking!
