Heading there first week of December. Any recommendations for studios that have advanced classes or open pole?

While I don't belong to any studios in the Charlotte area, I have visited almost all of them. Your best bet for advanced pole is Pole Fit Carolinas (http://www.polefitcarolinas.com/), and they happened to be located in Huntersville. Karol Helms lives in Concord, NC, which is also part of the Charlotte "metropolitan" area. You could also check out her website and see if she has any availablility for privates: http://www.polepraxis.com/. ; I'm pretty sure I'm not as advanced as you are, but if you wanted to pole jam, I have a 45 TG and a 50 Chrome in my pole room and I'm always desperate for people to pole with, LOL.
