Humidity causing slippage??

I am really slipping on my 50mm lil mynx and I dunno why. I just got it, it's the same one we use in the studio, and in the studio I stick to it veeeeryyy well!! But when I get home, I can't stick to it and I end up having to grasp really hard on my wrists to try to not slip and that makes my wrist hurt. I don't need to use grip (I have every grip under the sun), I'm just wondering why I can stick to the pole at the studio but cannot w/ the same pole at home. Some info: the studio is air conditioned and my house is not. I usually leave all the windows open. But then I turned on the A/C at the house and it seemed to make it worse. Do you think there's a humidity factor? Thanks!!🙂

Stainless steel "seasons" meaning that the more a SS pole is used the grippier it gets. So that is probably why your new pole is slicker than the well used poles at the studio. I have the exact same issue. Also a room full of sweaty pole dancers is going to be more humid than the average room (air conditioned or not) and your problem gets worse when you turn the ac on suggesting that your pole room may not be humid enough. I have dry skin and in winter (it gets super dry here) I have a really hard time gripping at home. If you have drier skin a bit of humidity can be a good thing.

Hmmm. I was wondering the same thing. I have a Brass X pole- I stick just fine to the brass at the studio, but come home and slip all over too.. Was wondering if maybe Im cleaning it wrong or something too? I go tthe brass so it would be sticky to learn on~

hmm.. what can I do to "season" the pole? And should I get a de-humidifier? i think my skin tends to sweat.. but it still grips ok at the studio. But not at home 🙁
