How to visualised this two instruction?

Hi here, I have some trouble with execute the below instruction in Static pole: 1. Controlling velocity by starting a spin, increasing, decreasing, and increasing the spin again. 2. Controlling momentum by starting and finishing the spin using an opposing force. Can someone show me a video? I know it might be a dumb question, but I just cant think of it in static pole :(

If you look at the lessons here you'll see all spins start off with instruction on static pole. For static spins you need timing and correct body and hand placement for the best momentum and I explain all of this in each spin lesson. Maybe you could find help in the lessons?
