How to store X-Pole xpert

Hi everyone! How do you store your x-pole xpert when not using it? I used to only remove the upper dome (leaving the base attached) and keep it leaning upright in the corner of the room. I am a little worried it might bend that way and not rotate smoothly any more... Do you think it's better to also remove the base and lay it flat on the floor? I just don't want to completely disassemble all the elements every time. I'll be grateful for any hints!

If it's a brass x pole and tall, over 9 ft, I am very careful about letting it sag, it tends to be such a soft metal that over time it could bow if you are not careful. I haven't had any issues with my other finishes of xpoles. I often leave mine in one piece (dome off) and lay it on the floor until I set it up again. I'm guessing xpole would tell you to fully disassemble the pole and store it in it's bag :) If you do leave it together be sure to check the everything is tight before you use it, some goes for if you leave it up!
