Just a quick one really, I lost superman down to the fear of pain (I know!) but tonight I've nailed it a good few times. I drop into it from Gemini, but why do I end up spinning round my pole SO BAD once I'm into it, I end up having to jump off which isn't great. Any tips?

Are you properly engaging your shoulder while in superman? If not it may cause you to travel. Also you said you "drop into" the move. If your entry is not controlled, you risk travelling. Anyway Usually with a lot of practice, issues of travelling while in moves tend to solve themselves.
And if you are sqeemish because if pain you will definately travel because you wont be holding your body as steady in the move. Not that theres anything wrong with being squeemish, i thought for a long time the superman would never stop hurting!
I used to have a bad problem with this . For me I had to learn how to let my legs and hips slide down more. Really loosen my grip with my legs. Actually , dismounting from superman by holding on with my hand and letting my legs slide down into a standing position is what finally helped me to get superman.
Drop was probably the wrong wrong as I wouldnt actually drop, I flip :) I videoed myself each time from when I started tonight and Phoenix you might be onto something, I did notice I was more relaxed when I started and when I tired I wasn't quite getting it. My legs and hips were lower in the videos I didn't spin so much. Squeezing harder also helped. Thanks ladies you have given me a few things to think about. The good thing was I spent another hour building confidence (and tolerance, the pain wasn't all that bad but that's the joy of having a new xpole, a lil less grippy!) I struggle with it in class because the poles have good grip so I have to work with that there!

For me it often helps to really thing of bring my nose towards my knees (tucking) before opening up. And ditto to the other suggestions too!
