How much would you charge a local bar per hour if they hired you to pole dance (fully clothed of course!) for entertainment on a weekday night? Let say they had the pole, and what about if I brought my own stage pole? I have insurance and all that taken care of, I just need to figure out what to charge him.

It would depend on how long you were being hired to dance for...I'm not sure if you want to do it for a few hours or just do a few sets and break them up. I belly dance at a hookah bar and I break my show up into two sets because then I can take a break and give a chance for new people to come in. I charge a flat rate instead of hourly because I don't even dance for a full hour...I make $75 for two fifteen minute sets plus any tips the audience gives me. You can use that as a ballpark range and base it off that because I think the going rate for dance performances at clubs/bars is around there. Most gogo dancers make about $125 a night but they dance for longer. I definitely would not undercharge him especially if you bring your pole with you. I would say anywhere between the two figures I gave you would be fair, but also calculate your time/gas money into that. Good luck and let me know what you decide 🙂
Yay, it finally happened! I got what I asked for and then some in tips too. It was a BLAST and I really hope to be able to do it next week too. Thanks everyone! I hope to try to get more tips next time. It wasn't set up very "user friendly" where people would just walk up to give tips, so we are going to set up a table nearby with pole info, my cards, and a bra purse with a sign that says "Hell ya, we accept tips!" 😎
i was wandering how you got the job dancing at the club? I mean as far as insurance.. did you need anything extra/special for this or is your regular insurance covering you? what about liabilty as far as on their part if you get hurt? just curious bc someone recommended this as a way to earn extra $$ wo having to take off clothes any info you could give me would be appreciated ☀️ 🌸
It definitely helps to have some sort of tip jar, I notice when I belly dance I get a lot more tips when I have a very accessible tip jar. Also if you put a few of your own singles in there or even a $5 or $10 people tend to tip you much bigger and they dont even know it was your own! :-p
