Everywhere I've read says to use rubbing alcohol, but with everything happening that's like liquid gold around here! LOL I want something to cut through a little bit of normal skin oil/sweat, and a smudge of motor oil (my husband touched it with dirty hands lol) Dish soap maybe? Facial cleanser? Windex? I'm drawing a blank. LOL

I was told never to use windex, I think it has an ingredient that makes your pole slippery. I use rubbing alcohol, I have used a little bit (tiny drop) of Ajax dish soap and hot water before and it worked good but not sure if it harms the pole, thats when i had my chrome pole. I have heard of people using a very strong vodka to clean there pole but why waste the money to clean your pole with vodka.

Windex works really well, the problem is some people can be sensitive to it, causing skin issues. I've used it with no problems. If you want a chemical smell free deep clean option use a steamer! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdjeYnLLaBw

I use rubbing alcohol. Also, I learned from Veena that I can use the hot steam from my iron to warm up my pole. (Steam hits it. Then I immediately wipe it down.) That's a way to clean it too. That's what I did today.

With regard to vodka, I had to use it when I was in Jamaica at a resort and playing on their pole. They didn't have the proper cleaning supplies.
I use vinegar to clean mine. I think I read you can use nail varnish remover, but not so good if you're wiping your pole down between moves (like I do lol)

I used to use Windex which works very well, but I have sensitive skin so I switched to rubbing alcohol. When that's in short supply I've found Witch Hazel, Listerine, nail polish remover (diluted), vinegar (diluted), steam, and eyeglass wipes work well enough to get by. Still prefer rubbing alcohol to anything else, but at least there are some decent alternatives.

I found wipes that are used for window/glass cleaning from the poundshop (equivalent to dollar tree?), but since they're mostly dry I find it doesn't mean any residue but does a incredible job of clearning my pole, and its completely hassle free. Occasionally need a little extra work to cut through any grip residue, but comes off easy and doesn't irritate my sensitive skin
