I like a studio that makes me feel welcome when I walk in the door.
I want the studio clean.
I want to know the instructors believe in training students in a safe and progressive manner.
I want to have a clean, safe area to park. Location is important, but not paramount.
"Community" is the feeling that should be in the studio. Instructors should foster a sense of "yes you can" rather than "look at me".
If you give me a discount for referring my friends I'll send them over!
I'd like some retail, so I can get my grip aids or tank tops right now, rather than having to wait for it to be shipped to me. Know that I'm proud to wear my pole studio tank top! Also, make sure I can buy water, in case I forgot mine!
I'd like to be able to take other classes as well, like yoga or maybe belly dancing or hoop.
Make sure you take credit cards, since I rarely carry cash.
Clearly state your studio policies, so I don't get upset about any confusion. For example, what's your policy on coming into class late, can I wear heels, am I on a month-to-month or a fiscal month renewal, do you require me to sign a contract, what is dress code (if any!), how do you handle drop-ins, do I get a discount on things like bachelorette parties or workshops, and other little things that could potentially turn into big things!
