Hello :) So my pole seems to be loose, and I can't work out which part of the pole I need to adjust to tighten it, is it the mid section or the bottom? And do you rotate it clockwise or anti clockwise Many thanks

Depends on where it's loose! If the whole things moves down by the base it's probably the hex screws at the very bottom that are not tightened enough. If there is movement at the joint then you need the joint tool to tighten it. The joints inside show you which way to turn it to loosen or tighten.
