How'd you get into pole dancing?

I'm not sure if there's a forum like this anywhere else on the site, so I'll make one here. I thought it'd be kind of cool for people to talk about how they got into pole dancing in the first place! I learned how to exotic dance when I was like 18 but always wanted to learn pole dancing which is one thing this stripper I knew didn't teach because she didn't have a pole. Like two years later I was at this place coughbarcough with my friend that had poles in the back of the bar and I saw these women spinning around on them. So of course I had to race back there and ask them to teach me how to do what they were practicing and where'd they learn it!?!?! They told me a place near where I lived and I signed up for lessons, made it through the advanced class and the rest is history!!! I've owned two poles, have one up now and plan to keep doing this for as long as I can 🙂
