Hello! My name is Jennifer, I'm 22 and from Ohio. I have never pole danced before but it looks like a whole bunch of fun and looks like a great workout. I wish to purchase a pole for my home as I have checked into pole dance fitness classes around my area and they quite expensive. Hope to learn some things and show em' off. 😛

Welcome to the site Jennifer! 🥂 Pole Dancing/Fitness IS a whole lot of fun and a very good workout! Its great for toning and its also a great cardio workout! I LOVE it! Ive never been able to stick to any fitness routine before but poling is so challenging that I stick at it becaue I want to be able to push myself to be as good as I can be and to do the hard moves that look so beautiful! Good luck with it and I hope you find this site as friendly and as helpful as I do! 🌸

Welcome welcome!! I've always hated exercise too! It's soooooooo boring! But poling is the only work out that I can do for hours and hours and hours and hours and HOURS on end!! As I would love to get an X-Pole or a platinum stage, it's not in my budget right now.....and was looking into having my handy man construct one for me. I had done some searching on the net about homemade poles and have read both positive and negative. The more and more I think about it I really don't want it fallin apart on me! (I watched a vid on Youtube of a homemade pole gone wrong!) I went through the old posts on this forum and found a site that seemed to offer a better pole than the peek-a-boo. http://www.markstaar.com/category/DANCE-POLE-KITS.html If there are any others that are decent for beginners feel free to share! I would love to get a brass one piece. I've never used one before LOL but I've heard enough about it where I think I would like it!! 🙂
I heard brass is better with the weather changes and since I'm in Northern Ohio we get that a lot! ☀️ I just realized that I will need a 10' pole!

Hi! Im becca and recently I have been interested in learning how to pole dance, and can't really afford one at this time or no place to put one. I saw the fitness side to it, and man it looks hard!! So any advice out there??
beccagirl, I'll be honest with you... Poling is the best thing ever!!!!!!!!! 😂 I've only been poling for about 2 weeks but it's one of the best investments I've ever made!! Consider the following: 1) Space. It actually doesn't require as much space as you may think. Depending on your situation, you can make adjustsments. You could do more stationary poses than wild spins and even in confined space you can still manage spins by being careful. And I've tried many a home exercise equipment. A pole takes up far less space than those! My ballet bar takes up more space than my pole. 2) Costs. I personally think it's cheaper than a gym membership. That last gym I was a member of was $80 a month! And I barely went!! 😂 X-Pole may sound expensive but the quality is extremely high! And if I can't break it, then it must be good! 😀 With proper care X-Pole will last you for years and years and years!!! The company I bought my pole from even lets you make installments on it if you like. A much valued option in the economy we have now! 3) Convenience. No waiting in line for machines! You can practice whenever you feel like it! Unless you have boguarting family members. 😜 4) Health. One pole can basically be the equivolent of an entire gym!! You get automatic cardio, strength training, increased flexibility and better posture, build and tone, and the dance helps build coordination and balance in the body. And the results are extremely fast!!! and lastly... 5) It's just plain out fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🥂 You forget that you are even exercising and you get to express your own personal style and creativity however you see fit! My advice is to consider Pole Fitness as a worthwhile investment. I'm glad I did! Jungle Cat 🐱
So you like the x-pole? I don't go to my gym anymore either, and I have been hearing a lot about the pole fittness, well more so just by looking it up and seeing the other side of it, if you know what I mean? So they can do monthly installment?? I may have to strongly think about it, I would love to have the space where I can do spins, it looks soo much fun!! 🙂
