Hey, from New Orleans!

Hi I'm new :] Currently in Texas with my mom but I go back to New Orleans so much I might as well still live there :p The closest I have to a "dance background" is cheerleading and a little gymnastics in middle school, and a small amount of figure skating in high school haha. I don't have a pole as of yet. I'm still trying to convince my mother but she seems to think installing it will mess up the ceiling and she just kind of thinks pole dancing is weird. Any advice for that lol? Um, about me? I'm 18, I'm a vegan, I'm a college student, and I got an afro 😎 Can't wait to meet all ya'll!

Advice? Find a place that has classes and drag your mom with you. She will soon change her mind!! Welcome!

Hello Marieq...you sound like me! I'm new to poling and have yet to actually get my pole. I'm hoping for it to be a christmas gift 😛 Also having the same issue of convincing ppl that poling isn't sleazy but in fact a great (and sexy) workout! Good luck with everything and I too hope you get ur pole soon enough chrissy05

Thankyou Chemgoddess :] Once upon a time ago I showed my mother a video on youtube but she just couldn't get past the fact that the lady dancing was in her "underwear" :p Thanks Chrissy! You'll get your pole soon, we both will :] Whenever someone makes the"pole dancing is sleazy!" comment I just show em a pole dancing video so they can see how athletic you have to be to actually do it. But my mom wasn't having any of it...

Welcome! 🥂 Sometimes my Mom still sees it as me "dancing in my underwear" 😂 If your looking for a home pole that doesn't require drilling you should check out the X pole. 👍 https://www.studioveena.com/xpole.php

Hey Veena, thanks for the X Pole link. That's the one I originally showed her but she still thinks it will mark up the ceiling. But I told her if it damages the ceiling at all I'll pay for it :] Thanks again! Ohmygoodness Katana I'll totally take you up on that. That's so weird that we're both vegans too. And thanks for the link to the site. The photo gallery is great, the class looks awesome. I'll be back in New Orleans during the springtime :]

I don't think it's weird that we're both vegan 😉 I believe that someday veganism will be the norm as more people learn about the ethics, health benefits, and eco-friendliness of conscientious and compassionate eating choices. hey look a pig!: 🐷 <3
