Help! Stuck Pole and Jiggling?

Well, I bought the pole about a month ago and I followed the instructions in the manual and what was posted by Veena. When I set it up it jiggled a little from left to right. I thought it was normal or something but a couple days ago an exotic dancer told me that it wasn't. So help please? I think it's the base that's loose. Should I call x-pole for repair? It's too new to be damaged! Also, the pole is stuck and I tried cooling it and loosening it while it it was set up but that hasn't worked and I bent my release rods a bit so I'm scared. Any help? Please? 😲

Okay...so this same thing happened to me last month as far as the jiggling goes. You will need to take your pole down. Once you get it down, look on the bottom of the base. There are 4 hex screws. Most likely they have come loose. You will need to line up the ring with the two little "knob like" parts before tightening the screws. Sorry if this is confusing! It never hurts to call x-pole though! their customer service is fantastic!! Hope it works out for you!

Hi, I too have bent my release rods so they now look exactly like 'l's. The first time I put mine up the pole extentions got stuck together. It took brute force to untwist them again, I had to get my boyfriend to do it. he managed it when I unscrewed all the other parts first (or at least everything I could unscrew.) They'res supposed to be a banging thing you can do but that never worked for me, as I didn't know if I was doing it right. I spoke to my pole dance teacher and she got the quick release rods, and said they were worth the money. Nx

Don't know what the problem is but definitely call Xpole! They are wonderful and will tell you what to do. My rods have bent for forever, I don't even use them anymore. I would suggest using two screwdrivers in place of the rods. They are easier to handle and give more leverage.

Thanx. I'm going to call x-pole but how does that banging technique work? Anyone know? I might as well try that too.

About the jiggling, chances are that the hex screws that turn the pole onto spinny at the bottom aren't quite tight enough, tighten them in as far as they will go (also ensure that these are in line with the little X's on the base). As for not being able to get it apart, the quick release tools are a lifesaver, also it's easier to try and twist the pole apart when it's up (just loosen it off slightly at the top).

Thanx. I'm going to call x-pole but how does that banging technique work? Anyone know? I might as well try that too. She's referring to the "shock" method in Veena's instructions. I actually believe that Veena directly quoted most if not all of that from the x-pole instruction manual (if not, she worded it very well!) It's basically just taking a hammer and instead of pushing or pulling on the release rods, tap them with a hammer in the direction you want to go. Lay it all on the floor with one of the rods against the floor or better yet, laying on a book. The rod that's sticking up in the air - cover it with a towel or something so you don't ding the rods. Then tap with a hammer in the direction you want it to turn. Don't really hit it because it's the shock, not the amount of force, that releases the pole. I believe there's a picture diagram on the very back cover of the manual...

Poo.. I noticed my entire pole "jiggles" from side to side very slightly (only a few mm) but I just thought it was normal. At first I thought that the 5 hex screws weren't tight enough so I tightened them all and it does make it stop moving, but as soon as I do a spin, it goes back to "jiggling". I thought they were tight enough because I can see little scratch marks on the flat parts of the pole where each respective screw touches.. But maybe it's still not enough?? Also I've always been very careful to screw any of the hex screws onto the threaded sections

Tali kat - There are two screws UNDER the adjuster cover that can become loose. Tighten those and it should stop the pole turning back and forth. It took me a long tine to figure that one out. Let me know if that fixes it. :)
