Help! I don't like poling on carpeted floor!

hello fellow pole dancers! I was hoping someone else figured out the solution to my problem: I pole dance on a medium length carpeted floor, and the problem with this is that there's too much friction between my feet and the floor. Hence, I cannot do spins and twirls very gracefully which hinders doing smooth "dancey" transitions etc. Practicing with those platform heels isn't even an option unless you want to twist your ankle because the plastic of the heels creates even more friction with the carpet than bare feet or socks. ๐ค I was thinking of either: * getting some portable wood floor pieces and placing them on top of my carpet (but i'm not sure if that will slip around) *getting one of those plastic carpet protectors (that people use under their office chairs) and putting that on top of my carpet to create less friction on my feet for pole dancing. do you think any of these options would work? has anybody tried this or have the same problem as me? thank you for your consideration!
