I'm trying and trying and it won't work. I tried getting into it from the gemini I tried to do it from the side climb. But somehow I hang on the pole and I can't get my hands off the pole and I can't push my hips forward. I am always sliding off the pole and I'm very frustrated! Could anyone give me any tips? THX

I couldn't get it until this warm sticky weather started! I get a better knee-pit grip with a good sticky pole, then keep my top hand on while I get my body in position, keep squeezing that knee-pit grip, then as I felt confidence, slooooowly let go and lean over, keeping my top hand ready to grab if I need to. Good luck, you'll get there eventually! 👍
I have the feeling that i don't get the bottom foot right. so how do you position your bottom foot? the grip in my knee-pit seems okay but i don't get confident enough to push my hips forward and let go of the pole. It makes me really angry that I can't get this move right! 😠
i use my bottom hand to brace myself as bring bottom foot to against pole. once i feel bootom leg/foot is in good position i slowly lean my chest back and shoulders back this forces you to open your hips and go foward as chest and shoulders lean out away from pole. remember to grip HARD w that top bent leg and be sure your legs and pole are warm and tacky not slippery. hope it helps 🌸

you can also get into this just from a basic, climb, swing your hips forward to hook your inside knee on the pole and slide the outside leg down the pole as you lean out.

I got this for the first time by mistake, on spin mode....for some reason when The pole is on spinny, I think I work my core muscles more without realizing it. It's easiest for me from scorpio to knee hold 🙂
I can only do this in boots/shoes...I think my feet sweat (gross Iknow!) but that is my issue with this move. Sucks because it is a pretty move
Gsylass, your top knee seems to be bent so that it points down slightly. I've been pointing my foot straight back and I can only do the star 50% of the time, maybe that's what's wrong.

Hmm, I never noticed that! I don't know whether I'm right or wrong - I think the top knee should be pointing slightly towards the ceiling, with the foot pointing slightly down, because that would give the greatest skin-to-pole contact area, but when I'm up there I don't really think about more than whether I feel secure enough to let go! Hopefully someone more experienced can advise?? 🤔
