Help!

Hey everyone! I have been waiting for MONTHS to put up my pole now that we moved into a house. My issue is, that the unfinished basement has exposed ceiling supports which are slim. I am very nervous about putting my pole up because I thought you needed he entire dome to be secured on the ceiling (not just by a peice of wood)...I've contemplated selling the x-pole since I haven't even used it and am so frusterated that I can't seem to put it up without being a nervous wreck. Any ideas, suggestions...or should I just sell the dang thing and get my money back? I've been wanting to learn how to pole dance for over 3 years now, and now that I have it, seems like I feel all my ceilings are working against me. Thank you!
