Hi everyone!! I am 24 years old and I have been an avid ballroom dancer for the past few years, I recently fell in love with pole dancing!! I am very brand new to it and just learning the basics. Any advice is welcome!! There is so much talent on here! I love to watch all the videos. You are all so inspiring! Thanks for looking. Happy Poling!! Natalie

Woot! Another one! I'm from utah too. Are you in southern or northern utah?
I live in Ogden right now and went grew up in Spanish Fork. I have also lived in Cedar City when I went to SUU. As for the ballroom. I have done it ALL!! I was on SUU's Touring Team and we did every kind of ballroom dance you can do. Mostly formation routines but a few solos as well. My personal favorite is Theater Arts. It is a routine with mostly lifts and tricks. I love it! What part of Utah are you ladies from? So glad to see a bunch of Utah pollers 🙂

Glad to hear you are so close. I live in SLC just right off 4500 South. Have long have you been poling for? Ballroom that is so cool. I took it in HS and wish that I could do it professionaly. It's so graceful and beautiful. Are you taking classes?
Yay you are close! I just started poling about a month or so ago. How long have you been poling? No classes sadly. Don't have the extra money for them. I just watch videos and play on my pole in my basement. 🙂 Are you taking classes? If so... where at?

Way close we should get together one weekend and have a pole jam. I have only been doing it since the beggining of the year. So not to long, I wish I was further than I am. I have only taken one class, which is what got me into it. Then bought my own pole and just been using the site. I am planning on taking classes this next month cause they have their passes 50% off. So I can afford that. 😂 sadly. The studio is Studio Soriee, out in sugar house. Im hoping that with taking classes it will help me improve what I need and sharpen what I have learned so far. I could always teach you what they teach me.

My husband is super handy and we research how to make a pole ourselves. We didn't have the money to buy one so we made our own and permanently mounted in our basement. I love swing. The other styles are so fun as well! They are so different and are all so fun. I am definitely watching Dancing with the Stars!!! I love it! I don't always get to watch it, but this season I have been able to watch both nights yay! There are some really great dancers this season.
Welcome! I bet you'll do really well with pole dancing with your background. Thanks. I am learning quickly with the spins and grabs but I am used to my partners holding me upside down so I haven't quite figured out how to hold myself on the pole (i.e. sitting on the pole and inversions). I also made my own pole that is a smaller diameter for my small little hands. It can be stationary or spinning and it was much cheaper than buying one since my husband is very handy. It is very good quality. I just wonder if it would be easier to sit and grab the pole better if it were bigger like the normal 2 inch pole. Mine is about 1.5 inches. I love my pole, but I've never tried any other pole so I don't know what would be easier for inversions and tricks.

That is so cool. I thought about making my own but I don't have anywhere I can mount it to, plus I got an awesome unexpected tax return so I had to buy an X-Pole. I would love to come try it out. And then you could come try mine. I have the standard 50mm. I love Mr. FreakNik 😂 Thanks I know I will enjoy them. OMGosh! I so will teach you. When would you like to do it? What all can you do?
Yay I have a pole buddy! We can both try each pole. I can do almost any spin, climb the pole, and I can do an inverted V but that is it so far. What can you do? I have school til the end of April with Fridays and Weekends off. These next couple weekends are kind of busy for me but I can do any day after finals. What is your schedule like? We could do a Friday or Saturday in a couple weeks.. I am so excited 🙂

YAY! I’m soo excited. I have been waiting so long to find someone here to enjoy this awesome sport with. I would love to try yours. Joel (Poledancefan) has a homemade one. So far, I can do all the basic spins, now working on being able to do them one handed. Pole sit, plank, climb, cradle, crucifix/inverted crucifix, I can sort of do the sad girl drop. (not sure if it’s the right way but it just happened). Did a half SM last night, totally not expected. I can invert but I am working more towards being able to just control it and use your core. Other than that I don’t have any crazy tricks up my sleeve. ? sadly, I am going to go home and try the inverted V I’m sure thou I won’t be able to do it. Ha ha, I’m pretty open on the weekends. I have a little man, but I can get a babysitter fairly easy. So like the 3rd weekend in April? Let me know when you can. 😀 I’m so excited! I will email you my number.
