Hello from Ontario Canada!

Hello everyone! I'm a 24 year old who loves to dance, no formal training. I haven't even bought a pole as of yet but planning on it very soon! Just doing the research to make sure I have the proper, and most safe pole, ( If anyone has recommendations from their experience. ) then I'll be well on my way to learning. I love the videos here, lots of amazingly talented people! Look forward to learning with/from you all! 🥂

Hello, fellow Ontarian!! I know where you are!! Just off Hwy. 3 west of Tilsonburg. I visited your town years ago and admired the statue of Jumbo (may he R.I.P.). There's a studio here in Brantford; if you'd ever like to pop up for a visit, let me know and we'll jam! I'm going to the pole jam in Brampton on April 11, you should come!! ☀️ You're going to LOVE this site!!!! 🥂

LoL Thanks so much! Yeah, Jumbo, haha, the poor sap. Looks even better when he's all wrapped up for the winter, or when they prime him pink in the spring! Hehehe. Jamming sounds great!!

Welcome from Grimsby! I used to go to St. Thomas all the time with my parents, they used to dock their boat at a marina out there. You'll definitely enjoy this site, it's great! Best of luck with pole hunting, there's a lot of advice on here for purchasing. Cheers!

Hi There! I'm from Brantford Ontario, like polephile. Actually, we both go to Eryx Studio in Brantford. Please come one night to check it out! As for buying a pole: I started off with the Carmen Electra Pole to try it out. Cheap ass shit, DO NOT GET THIS ONE! It will fall apart on you in no time. I would recommend the Lil' Mynx or X Pole. I have both, and they're great. They are both portable, so you can throw one up wherever, and it extends up to 10'. I also have a platinum stages stage pole. That's what I use for exhibitions. Platinum Stages works very well too. I'm dieing to try the Star Stand Alone by Platinum Stages, It looks AWESOME! Ordering a pole off the internet is not as bad as one would think. You just need to know the reputable websites (like Lil Mynx, Platinum Stages or X Pole) to order from, or order them off of sites that promote those products, (like this site). You can also use Kijiji (that's how I got my Lil Mynx and stage pole), or Ebay (my X Pole). Craigs List may also have some posted on there as well. Just steer clear of the cheapy kinds (Carmen Electra, Peek-A-Boo, and the like). Trust me, those are complete crap and a waste of your time and money. Hopefully that helps you get started! Hello and welcome to Studio Veena! I hope you love it here! I certainly do! 😀 I have an x-pole and Ive NEVER had a problem with it! I have never tried any other brand of pole though so I cant offer my opinion on the differences between them. I know there are a few comparison threads about poles in the forums here on SV but I dont know if there are ones about different brands or whether they're just about the different Models within each Brand... I hope you can make a decision soon so you can begin your pole journey! 😀

HI there!! I'm new here as well. I just wanted to offer my opinion on the type of pole I think is best. I have the chrome xpole and I love love love it. Its such a great a pole.. SO easy to put up and take down. I have only tightened it once, and thats the first day it was put up, and its been solid and sturdy since then. But just like Trena, I have never used another pole.
