Found this awesome site through the YouTube channel, I and look forward to learning my way around the pole and to getting into shape. I've started a blog too, to help keep me motivated and to track my progress with the pole as I work towards my ultimate goal of trying aerial lyra. I'm so happy I found this site, and can't wait to get on a pole and to start learning! Jessica 🙂

hey there nerd and welcome! if you're looking to do lyra, pole isn't really a prerequisite for that-- you can start lyra now and the cross-training strength benefits will be good for you with both apparatuses. =) where in NJ are you? i'm in NYC!

Yeah, it's not really a prerequisite, but I it will build my strength and I don't have the space where I live now for indoor or outdoor aerial rigs. The pole is a lot more functional for my small apartment, and I do think it will be a lot of fun in its self too! =) Have you done lyra before? And I'm in Randolph, a small town 30-45mins from NYC. I love the city! It must be so great living there. Thanks for the welcomings everyone =)
