Height adjuster rod is too annoying! >[

After wandering through some of Veena's lessons.. I looked at her pole.. and then I looked at mine. I looked at the bottom of hers, then the bottom of mine. The adjuster threads are on the bottom and all they gave me to cover it with it a foam thingy :| I mean.. can I grab onto that when I advance later on into moves? I have a 50mm chrome xpole sport and I love it but man, it's hard to want to sexyslide down my pole when I'm basically running out of it :/ Not to mention, I'm horribly afraid I'm going to break a toe or something one day smacking into it >< One idea... my ceiling is low enough that I dont need any extensions but.. maybe I could try just lowering as safely far down as possible and just use the extensions I need to hit the ceiling? How far can I lower it? It goes all the way down? I'm afraid to take it apart sometimes out of fear I'll put it back wrong haha. Thankss<3

I don't know if I even have enough extensions if it's all the way down.. this is just something off the top of my head. :/

A foam thingy to cover the adjuster rod of your xsport?? That doesn't sound right. I can't imagine why the adjuster cover for the xsport would be different from the xpert one, and the xpert has a metal cover which screws over the rod! Ok, I just looked it up and the x-pole site says an x-pole set includes "Adjuster Cover (Metal or Foam)". So it is correct that it's a foam thingy. I'm not sure how safe it is to grab the form cover though. Do they mention anything about that in the manual?

All it told me was they gave me a foam cover to keep me from scratching the hell out of my hands and heels.. I never noticed it said metal cover too. Also, what is top and bottom loading?

The older models of the x-pole, which screw together, are top loading, which means they have the adjuster on top. The new models (x-pert and x-sport), which use x-joints, are bottom-loading, which means they have the adjuster on the bottom of the pole.

The manual said it's top OR bottom loading. Does that mean I can have the adjuster on the top?

Mmm, as far as I know the pole should be either top or bottom loading. So I don't think that is possible. Wouldn't that mean your dome would be on the floor? Maybe someone else knows..

My Sport doesn't have a dome, it's same on bottom and top.

I would suggest that you contact Xpole directly about flipping the pole around. On the older models, they discouraged installing it upside down, but your model is very different from the old model and the Xpert as well. Judging from the installation video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q68QQParkME&feature=related I don't think it would be a problem tho.

I have the X-Sport as well and you are right, you can flip it around an have the adjuster at the top. I only used it for 2 weeks "bottom loading", but then I hurt my toe on the adjuster rod with blood running down the pole, so I flipped it around. The instructions say that you can use it either way, so there's no problem. I definitly prefer the "top loading" way for my Sport.

Does anyone know if I can physically just "flip" my pole around without taking it apart or does it need to be reassembled in a new way for top loading? Thanks!

I have the XPole Xpert Sport pole and I initially installed it bottom loading but because of the same problem you experienced I flipped it...and it was a straight flip, yes. No need to take anything apart.
