Now I know they say you should remove your x-pole once a month, but I haven't taken mine down since i got it, 6 months ago. More than the laziness is just my fear of it being stuck, and i KNOW it will be! and then i'm afraid i wont be able to use it or something so i'm just trying to avoid it. what do you guys say? 🤐

I took a 6 month pole "vacation" and left my pole up. I took it down when I started up again and it came apart - it was a bit tougher than usual, but it did unscrew (even without having to resort to the shock method). Even if it is stuck, you should be able to still use it. You just won't be able to pack it up nice and neat like you could before. I'd say just do it. 👍 The longer it stays up, the worse it may get.
I agree with Foxy about just doing it, the longer you wait the worse it gets. Although, if you have been dancing on it all 6 months you might have to do the "shock method" or use the heavy duty release tools if you have them because the dancing may have compacted (for lack of a better word) your pole more.
I never take my x pole down except for when I moved house in December and boy did I have trouble with it, I thought I was going to have to saw it in half, luckily I did not come to that. My problem was the adjuster screw nut, a tip - keep it sat in the middle of the adjuster rod and not screwd down to the bottom. 🐱 🐱

I never take my pole down! Last time I took it down it had been up for about 6 months but my husband was able to take it down and apart (with force of course!) eventually!

ooo i havent removed mine for about that long aswell =S i did try a few weeks ago but i couldn't budge it. My boyfriend at the time put it up but i got rid of him.... looks like a best find another strong boy to take it down!!
I took my pole down for the first time in ages before Christmas. It came down ok, although I didn't unscrew each segment but now I can't get it to go back up properly again, so I say don't do it! 😂 It has left a big dint in my ceiling too where it was previously and that might be because I'd not moved it in ages?

The biggest thing that will cause your pole to stick is if you use the Release Rods to TIGHTEN the poles...make sure you only hand tighten the poles. I don't take my poles down every month but I do go through and while the pole is up...take the Release Rod and loosen all the joints then gently re tighten. I'm a cheater. LOL 😂 😂
That sounds like a good idea 🙂 Although I might take the opportunity whilst it is down to unscrew everything and re-tighten. Just got to sort out the clunking noise on spin before I can have another go on it. I am thinking if I concentrate on getting the dome flat to the ceiling, rather than getting the pole straight, then that should help matters - fingers crossed anyway! 😕

Does anyone know if the PS poles need to be taken down regularly as well??

I rarely take my pole down but when I do I pre-loosen the joints before taking it down, which makes it much easier! first loosen the nut at the top of your pole then use your screwdriver or chopsticks to loosen each joint before bringing the pole down.
