Okay, my fiance is kind of pissing me off.. I'm trying to explain that you DON'T need to bolt your pole into the floor or ceiling but he keeps telling me "That's wrong, the RIGHT way to do things is to (blah blah blah *in short damaging your floors and ceilings*) I really don't know EXACTLY how they work so I don't know how to explain it to him but he's also pretty thickheaded and likes things his way -_- Could someone please help me not stab myself and explain better? 🙁

You could compare it to a chin up pole perhaps? You know the kind that go at the top of door frames and they push into either side of the frame? No screws, no bolts, no holes! X Poles is like that, just vertical.

Eheheh. It's like a car jack. Just ask him if he's afraid his car jack is going to hurt the undercarriage or the asphault? Or if he's a pansy afraid to get underneath the car because he's afraid it'll fall on his head. eheheh.

The ones that dont screw into anything, they hold in place from the tension between the floor & ceiling. When installed tight & correct it WILL NOT move. And the ceiling grips on the xpole ceiling fixture help keep it from sliding and damaging the ceiling. Tell him it is a miracle of technology and not to worry about it, LOL 😂 😂 😂

O.M.G. .. I actually went through this same exact convo with my husband. He was like "it will fall down if you don't bolt it" I was like "actually it wont" he was like.. "yeah.. the force will make it fall down" I was like "no. thats wrong" but if you like I can show you video after video of women using the x-pole. So .. needless to say we made an agreement that if the pole arrived and was wobbly at all he could do what he needed to make it not wobbly. Needless to say its not bolted, and its never wobbled once. Shit.. he's even swung around on it! He just loves you and doesn't want you getting hurt. Or hes a know-it-all. 😂

Gimme a bunch of videos of you guys jumping onto your poles with full force lol Maybe it will make him shut up but... then again, he's pretty thick so probably not 🙄

😂 Mine also says "it's going to hurt the floor, the ceiling" I keep trying to explain that if you install it correctly it won't!

Perhaps give him contact details of X-Pole so he can call them up with his concerns? The comparisons to a car jack and a chin up bar might help him understand too. And for those complaining about the floor/ceiling damage - tell them about the silicon padding on the top cone that protects the ceiling. It's expensive for a reason! Because it's safe, stable and doesn't ruin the building!

I married an engineer, quote him to the husband: this is an amazing piece of engineering and I can see it would take quite a bit to bring it down in a hurry. Having said that, keep checking your nut is tight at the top, I think this is why I've managed to bring our down... Xpoles have have 2500kg side ways pressure, but don't let him do a rugby charge at it. They are very strong and operate on opposing force, but you can bring them down if not looked after or aimed at.
