I have really sweaty palms so sometimes when I'm trying a new move I'll use Tite Grip. I try to do as much as I can without any aid to really try to build up my grip strength. Tite Grip doesn't make your hands "grippy" it just stops the sweat so you don't slip and slide everywhere. That's the only one I've ever tried though 🙂
I use grip aids when I need them and feel it's beneficial when learning a new move - just one less thing to worry about until you're more sure of what you're doing. The thing is that everyone's chemistry is different so what works well for someone or even for most people may not work for someone else. You should experiment until you find one that's good for you. I have a list of products you can compare here: http://empowermentthroughexoticdance.com/GripAids.htm My personal favorite is the Grrrip spray.
Thank you ladies....... for now I need help holding myself with my inner thighs. So I need to cheat a lil...lol
I've been using Prince Grip Plus, its for tennis players and you an get it at any sporting good stores. I really like it, I also have mighty grip which I don't partiularly care for. I just ordered iTac2 when it comes ill let you know how it is! I've only used grip aid for the past 6 months or so never used it to learn but I like it becauseit makes slipping one last thing to worry about!

I like to use Tite Grip for long acting anti-perspiration and then Dry Hands for short term stick. Tite Grip is great because it helps keep your hands dry, but not too sticky. If I am really having problems gripping the pole or am trying a new move, I'll put a dab of Dry Hands on my hands, my inner thighs and behind my knees for that xtra holding power. It's super effective but doesn't last as long as the Tite Grip.

I would recommend the gel grips like Prince Plus. Find it at your local sporting goods store like Sports Authority, Dick's Sporting goods or Modell's. I'm not a big fan or spray on, grease or powder grips.
I've tried Tite Grip and it seems to rub off? Anyone else have that problem? It doesn't stay on. Mighty grip is heat activated I believe so if you have cold hands it doesn't form a grip it gets slippery for me!
@ the stdio I go to they had tight grip, and I used some. Every time I got on the pole it left nasty stuff on it. So I'm not sure I would use that again. To all u ladies thank you for all ur imput. 😉

Havent tried any of those ever. But I just ordered Itac2 and itac4. Never tried any of those grip aids but I am competing in september and I want to use it then just in case if i will be having a bad grip day that day 😛 Heard some good things about itac and cant wait to try it 😛
I use Dry Hands and love it! I sometimes need to apply a little more, but I tend to start with just a couple drops and add more as needed. It doesn't leave any residue on the pole 😀
i use tite grip sometimes but wash my hands after i apply it so it just acts as anti perspraint . . . but i find that just keeping the pole clean and wiping my hands some time helps more then any grip aids i have tried
