Getting Own Pole, Please Help

Legzz started this discussion ·

So, I have been poling at a studio since July but recently hurt my shoulder because we aren't given the best instruction on form. I started inverting (before I was probably ready) and strained my right rhomboid pretty badly because, as I have discovered, I was not inverting properly. After a hard, painful lesson and reading a lot of forums on here, I've decided I trust Veena's lessons more because of her safety awareness and want to get my own pole to learn at home.  However, I'm really nervous about space and where to put it. Here is a link to a picture of the only space I have found to put it. https://www.studioveena.com/photos/view_photo/4e80acb3-bfa0-421d-9687-6aa10ac37250 ; Disregard the chandelier, it's nowhere as close as it looks to my dance space. But, anywho, ceiling is 8' tall and area from the wall to wall part is 11' all together. I am just under 5'8. While I feel confident I can do spins, I'm concerned about enough space for RG, climbing and inversions. What do you guys think? Is 8' high enough for inverted tricks? Is a little more than 5ft on either side enough for RG? Also, this is a mobile home, are there any problems with that? Feedback is greatly appreciated!!
