omg i just got the gemini climb! i wasnt warmed up or even near the pole, i was just watching 1 of fluers pole practice clips and got inspired so decided to spur of the moment run to the pole and try. i was soo excited to actually do it! it wasnt graceful, but it got done 😕 😎

Thats great pole- twista. What is a gemini climb ❓ I know what a gemini is but whats the climb. Can you put a link to the vid of this move as I am always looking for new ways to climb.
What is that ❓ A gemini to me is a inside leg hang so a gemini climb seem impossible to me. I gotta see this! Is it in one of your videos, if not you should make one.
I think that it doesn't matter whichever leg you hang from--once you grab the pole and release your leg, you've got to get your body to the other side of the pole and then come up into an aerial chopper to come back into your leg hang. I'm not positive if this is what poletwista is talking about, though.
i consider a gemini an outside leg hang and a scoprio inside leg wrap around. in gem w outside leg around pole you would just hold the pose and than reach up pull yourself upright so your "standing" on the side of the pole (but off the floor ) so you can ariel invert back into gemini but now your alittle higher up. you keep doing that til your at your desired height. will post vids of new moves asap. (just still cant seem to load dvd with all new vids onto laptop. (its plays, but isnt loaded onto laptop itself so cant get it on site.) hope this helped ☀️
Okay... I got it Pole-Twista. I just call that flipping up but gemini climb works to. I guess in my case it's a scorpio climb. Thank for the explanation.

I've heard that called the dishwasher too - but it;'s kind of done 'on the spot' - as in you don't try to climb higher every time, just keep turning over and over between gemini, reach up to standing, aerial invert, gemini - repeat. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0hyut6GKok&feature=channel_page <-- You can see it there at 2:20 - 2:35

Yikes!! That move is crazy! I gotta try that 🙂 And FYI: Jamille Deville on Art of Pole considers the outside leg around the pole to be scorpio and the inside leg around the pole to be gemini and Jessalynn also refers to them this way too. So maybe UK trainers call them that way and US trainers call it the other way? 🤔

Great job to everyone working on this move! It requires good ab strength and the ability to air-invert on both sides (ecellent workout!). I call it the scissor climb and originally copied it off of Jenyne Butterfly's World Finals video (watch her do it, it's effortless!) but she calls it something else...I should ask her for the correct name. I believe this climb comes from aerial silks climbing method.
I've got to try this one!

I do aerial rope and silks as well as pole, and this move is used to climb the rope and silks as you get much higher, quicker! We refer to it as russian climb in my aerial class, but I have also held it called spider climb in pole! So many names, confusing!
