Gap between x pole tubes

Hi everyone! I just got my pole in earlier this week and no matter what I do, I can't seem to get my a pole to be flush against the 750mm extender (I have super low ceilings). I had the same issue with my b pole when I was waiting for my extension to come in. The joint is closed as tight as I can get it, but no matter which one I use, the peices do not fit together quite right! It's to the point where I can only access one of the hex screws because the alignment is off. Appreciate any help you guys can give
