frustration

Watching other spin videos and i know my Pole just isn't spinning smooth... I've had this problem since i put it up....I've adjusted it, loosened it to the very last point i can, I've taken it down and rebuilt it... X Pole won't exchange it cause its used so now what? I seriously want the veena Pole but where its one piece and i want to move, i think i need to wait till i figure that out, don't want to waste money... Ugg frustrating :( still using it every day, but i want to do pretty spins and it just doesn't keep going :( may just switch to stationary so i dont keep disappointing myself

What happens when you spin it? Do you feel some resistance? I just wanna try to understand why you are sure it does not spin as it should.

In my experience my pole won't spin correctly if is not completely plumb. Also, one time it was the rubber that had dry rotted from age from the ceiling plate of my tension pole. The rubber pieces were dropping down into the pole, which made it spin funny but also caused the ceiling plate to loose its tension because it was hollowing out! So, just in case, if your X pole is older and is a tension pole you may want to check out the ceiling plate to make sure the rubber is solid.

its Spins smoothe in one spot and then catches, I get a few revolutions but it has never had continuous smooth spin it does not flick spin with one hand either i have to put weight into it

Ok I see. And from your first post it seems that you have already made sure it's not overtightened. Is it level with the bottom plate, I mean, are you sure the pole isn't tilted? Is this an xpert pole or is it the old top mounted xpole?

When those rubber pieces were dropping into the pole that's what mine would do, catch after a few revolutions or a couple of times in the same revolution. It was not catching in the same spot every time. I guess the pieces were moving around and catching in different areas on the pole.

Its an xpert and Its def level and both the top and bottom rubber are perfect

Maybe its not on the joist so its overtight to the ceiling? There's no damage on ceiling and we've been going hard on it

An X pole will NEVER free spin with just a hand flick. They never have. However when you are on the pole it is very different. I can think of 2 possible things, first is that you have over tightened the pole. Second is that one of your bearings was not manufactured correctly. There are 2 bearings on the pole, one on top and one on bottom. If those do not move smoothly then you may have a crimped or defective bearing. I know the following image is not the typical ceiling dome but it will give you an idea of what you need to look at. In the center you see concentric circles, that is the bearing. That should be able to be moved easily with just your fingertip with almost no effort. There is one in the dome and one on the bottom of A pole. I thought that you had checked for overtighteness, but it doesn't hurt to verify one more time I guess because if that should be the problem, it will behave like you described it. An x-pole wont spin a lot from a hand flick, but it shouldn't catch at certain points either. The spin should be smooth even if it slows down quickly.

Yes i have it as loose as possible so its not overtight i will check the bearings

Since I got Xpoles permanent block mount mine is spinning so much smoother. Maybe that would be an option for you?

Ill have to check... I guess it would be easy to patch when i left
