Hi All - I want to buy a freestanding pole & cannot decide which model I'd like. I'm about 150 lbs, and would need it to be easily moveable for shows & events. I'd also be using it at home as a practice pole. Any feedback on whether going with a PS Star stand alone or X stage is best? Wondering what was used at the DC Pole convention...I couldn't make it. Thanks for your advice ladies!

PS Star is not very stable if you use the pad underneath it that it comes with. I am 120 and I can get it to rock. I would go with the X-stage if you can. When I didn't use the pad under it, it was more stable and didn't rock when I spun on it. Also note that if you spin left it will come undone.

I have the X stage and love it! Its heavy, but that also means its very stable, so its great for shows and it still has spin mode. 🥂

Ooh and I am not sure how soon you need this BUT they are coming out with the X-stage Light later this year, it boasts that it will be a little easier to get around and I think the platform is lower to the ground.

I've performed on the new light X-pole stage for them at a fitness convention. It's great! just as study as the one thats out now but easier to lug around.
im in the 250lbs range and couldnt get the xstage to rock. It was solid and I was 100% impressed w/X. When I finally buy my pole, Im getting an X pole.
I have had the great priviledge of trying the Brand New Free standing R-pole which only came out this week - with the hard base and wow this pole is fantastic 🥂
Can anyone give site for more information on x-stage for my curiousity. I have been considering the xpole xpert; however, after reading some posts about it, not sure now. Also, any comments regarding brass and where should I look into for that? Thanks.

I have an R Pole too!!! Ive tried most free standing poles & think R Pole is by far the best! I would recommend it to anyone 🙂

Also, any comments regarding brass and where should I look into for that? Thanks. Platinum stages is the place to get brass. I am not sure if hardcore poles still make brass or not. X-pole does offer titanium gold though which is close to brass. As of writing this TG is not available for the stage.
have never heard of R pole.. can anyone tell me more? am dying to buy a stand alone for yard, but can't be overly difficult to set up and store as would need to take up and put down alot. any advice would be appreciated. 😀

thanks! i still have no idea what to do.. 🤔 it's just kind of expensive so whatever i get has to be #1 safe #2 durable #3 user friendly if it weighs as much as a house and takes 3 peeps to set up..not going to work.. just not sure if it's possible to have a stage/SA that is lightweight, but still heavy enough to take hard side spins.. 😕 oh i sooo wish could try before buy ! ☀️ 🤓
