I have the flu right now and it sucks! Won’t be able to pole till next week now. What do you guys do when you are sick? Favourite self care routines? It’s sunny af here which is both nice and horrid while feeling so sick.

Agh, I just got over being sick with a super sore throat! And i was traveling when it happened!! It’s the worst and i’m so sorry, I hope you recover soon and get back on the pole in no time!
But the main thing I recommend is to make sure you hydrate, I know it felt so awful swallowing anything with a sore throat but I really think it helped me get better faster. Tea or warm water would be easier to drink, i just had a huge water bottle since I was traveling. Also use a humidifier to make it easier to breathe if your sinuses and nose are all clogged up and congested
Also, this might just be me, but if you can’t rest and have to go out, bring a pair of sunglasses or earbuds to cancel out noise. I find when I’m sick the sun is too bright and loud noises give me worse headaches.

Ugh, that sucks! I’m sorry ?
I often use an illness as a time to stay in bed as long as I like, drink lots of fresh ginger tea and listen to podcasts and do some journaling. Oh sometimes I use those coloring books for grownups!

Oh my goodness! Being sick while travelling must have been awful!! You poor thing! I haven’t had the flu in a year or so, it’s shocking how bad it feels. All sound advice thanks, I am forcing down huge quantities of water most annoying is having to get up and pee so often lol. And you’re right! The brightness from the sun is insane ? luckily I don’t have to go out yet but will definitely employ sunnys and headphones when I do and in lieu of a humidifier I’ll have to have a hot bath or something. I’m glad you’ve recovered and are feeling better now! Life feels so good after recovering from sickness. Enjoy pole on my behalf :’) <3

Yess definitely will be staying in bed. I was actually bed ridden yesterday I just had to lie and endure it because I couldn’t really muster the energy to move at all lol. Thank god I’m feeling better today :) marginally. Enough to sit up and do some light art at least ? I truly forget how rough the flu is. I seem to get it like once every two years ? thanks for the advice though luckily my bf is on it with teas ?

Ops just saw this! I am back today feeling much better, that flu really knocked me over for a week... feels like a life time but I'm in my garage right now, about to start day 1 of level three beginner :-) quite interested in the invert program too- I'll let you know how I get on!
