I have old an old duplex pulled up the carpet for my studio the wood floors were nice so I finished them but I can't seem to spin bare foot or with lyrical sandles. I thought wood would be perfect. I do personal training and private pole fitness in that unit using the pole so I am looking for an inexpensive solution any ideas?

When I was a kid, after watching Paula Abdul in a music video, I decided to pour baby powder all over the floor so I could perfect this floor slide thing they did in the video. It worked like magic, but my mom was really pissed, and it was difficult to mop up. LOL. Maybe they have something that you could make the floors slick with, without the mess ...I will see what I can find out. What type of wood floors do you have, as sometimes having the floors polished can make it slicker.

Lacquer or a veneer finish would do it but that's pretty permanent. Try baby powder or talc on your feet... But really I'm considering Paula Abdulling it in my kitchen... I wonder if my husband would mind lol.

I did try a little powder but that didn't work it must take a really good layer of powder and I really don't want to clean that up all the time. So on to some other possible solutions I may have to have something installed or maybe I can get some sort of matt that is slippery with some sort of grip tape at the bottom. I will keep looking if all else fails I may have to have another type of flooring installed but that will have to wait until I build my business I have only been doing it about two months. Thanks!
I have danced on wood floors that have a shiny smooth polished finish, and others that are not finished and actually capable of giving you splinters. Any kind of powder will more than likely work best on a polished slick wood floor, but it is time consuming to clean. I have asked people on here about floor options myself, and there is a lot of good information in that topic thread. I can't remember the exact title of the topic thread, but I will check it and let you know which one to look for (will aim for this evening when I have more time). Cheers!
