Flip Mino + Mac Help

So I went to work on some of my video that I recorded on my Mino. I imported it only to discover that my computer doesn't recognise the file. Are there different kinds of AVIs? Because I have AVI movies from a different camera that imported and play just fine. Any help appreciated. Thanks!
