Does anyone know of a video that has someone doing a figurehead spin (on a static pole?) I want to practice it as my next spin, but I can't remember where I saw it.

is this the spin where you do a back hook into a figurehead? Here's a video where they do it at the beginning. (if it is the one you are talking bout) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AY1gD4LaBnY It's the first couple of spins they do. Unfortunately I can't do it, but ive heard you need to arch your back to get your arm through. In these spins in the video tho, they dont flip over their top hand. I think your meant to flip it if you want to go into a shoulder mount doing a cupped grip. Hope this helps! x

Oh, what a pretty spin!! Thanks for sharing, I've added it to my list of things to try :) I like the second one too, boomerang to split heel, but that looks scary...
since I love doing the back hook I'm going to have to give this a try!
oh!! i like too!!! pole exercise 2 dvd has a demo of it. im def putting this on the list!!
