i just looked in another post where a girl said she had a real x pole not the fake ones i had never heard of a fake x pole before how do i know if mine is legit? she said something about lining the holes up with x's on the base when you take the pole from spin to static and i didn't know there were x's on it i don't know if mine has it or what but how do you know if it's a "fake"?

There were a bunch of fakes that are selling on ebay for under $200. Here are ways to tell: 1) The upper dome is made of plastic, it has black rubber around it and the silver section is very thin plastic. ( this will crack on pressure being applied) 2) The base is not articulating. 3) The base does not have our little X's on them. 4) The joints are not welded together therefore they will come out and the pole will just be a tube. 5) The instructions are a photo copy and the DVD is also a bad copy. 6) There are only 2 ball bearings - this means the pole will not spin under pressure.

I was a fake x-pole ebay victim. I ordered another one from Veena and I'm not afraid to use it like I was the other one. Chemgoddess has described the exact pole I got off ebay. Only difference it did have an X on the base, but the X was not as defined and bold like the real x-pole.
Hopefully these asshats got caught, if not I hope they do eventually and pay BIG time 😈 Not only is it a waste of money and time waiting on your new pole but it's mega dangerous but what do they care if someone is is upside down when the stupid thing collapses, resulting in serious injury or even death? Stupid greedy hogs. Here's a curse just for them: "May the fleas of a thousand dead camels infest one of your errogenous zones!"
I am a victim of the fake X Pole as well. I won one from eBay about a year ago. When I got it, it came in a box with everything, except the X Pole carrying case. I tried putting it up, but I was also in the process of moving out of state, so I stopped. I actually left it home. I emailed the X Pole people to ask if I could purchase the carrying case, and was told that chances are that I have a fake pole. I called today, and the X Pole rep asked for me to look and see if the upper dome has black rubber around it, and it does. 🙁 Since I bought it over 6 months ago I can't really get a refund back. However, she told me that if I decide to buy another one, she'll give me 10% off. She gave me her name and everything in case I call back and get another people. I'm upset that I was taken, but at the same time I'm glad I know and that I never used the pole.
