Has anyone successfully warmed up their pole with an electric blanket? I remember seeing that someone on here used heatings pads. Also has anyone tried to use the pipe warming cables? The one I found shuts off at 3degrees C and that's even colder than the pole is originally.

The one thing with the heating pads was trying to keep them on the pole and I imagine that a heating blanket would be the same. I used bungies. As for the cables, you are going to run into the same type of problem.
I was thinking of holding the electric blanket on with over sized claw clips. Haven't tried it yet, but it seems to work in my brain...but then again a lot of impossible pole moves work inside my brain, so I won't bank on it.
You don't want to put clamps on an electric blanket. There's a chance it could crimp the wires or cut the wire cover, creating a fire hazard and wrecking the blanket. To warm your pole up fast, use your hair dryer. Spending at least 10-15 minutes on non-inverted or light-strength cardio helps get it warmed up too. When all else fails, I wrap my pole rag around my hands and make inappropriate motions. My students laugh at me, but with a vigorous rub-down with the towel I can get their poles warmed back up in no time if they've cooled down since the studio is chilly in winter and the poles are stainless.
I haven't had much luck with a hair dryer, it just doesn't warm up the pole, the air in my pole room is too cold any heat just gets sucked up by the surrounding air. The pole is in the coldest room in the house. I already have a heater on in that room whenever I'm in it.

have you tried: taking a screaming hot shower before you pole? doing a half an hour of cardio in your pole room before you pole? putting in a hot spray humidifier? using a space heater aimed directly at the pole? heat trace (for pipes) won't work-- the point is to keep the temp just above freezing. you may have some luck with the mats that are used for floor warming or shower mirror defogging and wrapping that around the pole.
I do some cardio before going on the pole and it does help, but not too much. I have a TG pole and I find that when my body is warm and the pole is cold, tiny invisible droplets of condensation tends to form making it very slippery. I think Veena mentioned it happening with her TG as well. I haven't had it happen all summer, and forget about it til now. This mean it must me dry heat...but not too dry because I have dry skin. I hate winter poling. Currently I have my electric blanket wrapped around the pole and tied with elastic, goign to give it an hr to warm up and I'll report back on how it works.
SUCCESS!!! I electric blanket did wonders! I listened to the advice here adn avoided clamps, instead I used 1/2" elastic (left over form a sewing project) to secure it around the pole. I left it on for 30 mins and warmed up whiel I waited. The pole was just about my body temperature after a warm up. I still needed to use some itac, but I was able to pole without wanting to cry frustration. This was a triumph! (yes, it's a portal reference)

I found using a clothing steamer works too! I was steaming an outfit with the door closed in my pole room and fifteen minutes later, I had a perfectly warm pole! 😀
Lol, just came to this thread by chance... I'm making a note here: huge success 😁 I was gonna say ironing or something similar - ironing makes a room so hot and pretty humid too if you've got the steam function on, so that should definitely help!
