Do you have a pole at home?

Hi Veeners, I was wondering, for those of you who pole from home (lucky you!) do you think it makes a big difference in terms of your practice and progress? And if you do have a pole at home, do you still go to a studio for lessons / practice? Do you feel any difference in confidence or ability when you pole at home vs in a studio? I just started lessons at a studio that uses spinning poles from the beginning of January where they teach dance routines. Thing is, I would love to just free style dance on the pole to music instead of always practicing the choreography they teach. But I only have the strength to do a simple knee spin, back hook spin and I'm still working on spin climbing. The studio does offer practice hours but for some reason I never see beginner level girls practicing, mostly the advanced ones who are training for competitions! I cant help but get self conscious during practice, but I really want to get to a decent level!
