Deb Riley Masterclass (In case you dont read blogs)

Hey everybody! So yesterday I was at a Deb Riley Masterclass in the studio where I take lessons. Some of the other Irish gals from this site were there too! Well...OH MY GOD it was just sooooo fantastic! Deb Riley is TRULY awesome! I really genuinely wanted to take her home with me! She's GORGEOUS, teeny tiny and extremely funny, cute and sweet! From the very start of the class she had us all pepped and full of energy! She did the sexiest warm up with us ever!!! Im so glad I went to the class! At the start of the class I was a little apprehensive cause she said that the poles were gonna be left on spin! But you know what? It wasnt a problem! It just made us work harder on controlling everything. We even did handsprings on the spinny poles! It was a little scary but I think because we knew we had to do it, it was okay! We learned LOADS!!! Im sore everywhere today but Im glad cause it shows that I worked hard! The biggest goal I took from the class was to lift into inverts from now on! Im not able to do it yet but I will! No more kicking into things for me! Im even gonna work on not kicking into my shoulder mount! It will take time and I'll get frustrated but its all for the greater good right! Im in pain today but it good pain! Its "I worked my ass off" pain so yay! Lots of love & hugs Trena xxx Thats me & DeeTron in the photo with itsy bitsy Deb!

It really was awesome Gsylass! Deb is super! If you're ever in the position to take a class by her you should take it! Its WELL worth it! 🙂

I'm booked into one of her masterclasses in March I'm looking forward to it's good to hear you enjoyed the class too. It's a bit scary knowing how good she is but I will work super hard until the class to get my strength up. I'm trying to stop kicking into my shouldermount but it's so hard so good luck with that Trena. For anyone that's interested in doing a masterclass I think she has them listed on facebook but places are going fast. Cxxx

Onepinkprincess - is that the 8.5 hour class? Would LOVE to be doing that class! Trena - agree totally. Deb is fantastic. She's as tiny as Jenyne! Its mad - people look so much taller on the pole. Today is the first day since Sat I can take a drink without going ow ow 😀 Love love love the shoulder mount lift - think its everyones fave move from the class 🙂 Just need to get Deb back over here now for a follow-up class to make us all work extra hard to impress her 😀

I am *still* in severe pain after that class!! But I've never been so determined!!! The points she left us with are fantastic.. truly unusual!! I wish Deb was my personal trainer!

I wish Deb was my personal trainer! OMG that would be so awesome!!! Onepinkprincess, as you can see we all enjoyed the class immensely and took a lot from it! I wanna know the answer to PoleTickles question too...Is it the 8.5 hour class?? I would LOVE to be doing that too!!!

Yes it's the 8.5 hour class it looks amazing I'm really looking forward to it and I really hope I have the stamina for the whole day. I'll let you know how it goes. Cxxx

Hi Ladies, Just reporting back on the masterclass. It was amazing I had so much fun but couldn't really move the next day as it was such hard work. We did a lot of work on spinney pole which I've never done before so it was really good. She taught us some aerial hoop too and now I'm hooked. That woman is amazing. I would recommend her classes if you can get to her. She made us wear heels all day and I never dance in heels so the extra weight on inverts quickly knackered me out. I loved her back to basics approach where she ironed out any little things we were doing wrong which weren't quite perfect like basic posture, pointed toes on CAR (I unknowingly flex my bottom foot) and full leg extension on climbing. Such tiny changes make a big difference. I was a bit disappointed that after working so hard on my shouldermount in princess grip she told us we could only do it double cup in her class which I couldn't do for the life of me without kicking into it but I understand as the move she was trying to teach us wouldn't work with a princess grip. So i'm back to the drawing board with that one but I'm sure it will be good for me. The girls in the masterclass were so strong I must admit I was a bit jealous but they've worked hard to get their strength so it inspires me to do the same. Cxxx

Ha, yeah she did the CAR pointed toes with us too. And the climbing!!! And made everyone do the cupped grip for the SM! I really love that she's getting people to pay attention to the smaller details! She's awesome!

I so wish I could have gone to this, but I think it was at a level slightly too high for me. My tutor went and said it was great. Debs is organising Pantera coming over to the UK soon as well so you should all keep an eye on her facebook profile if you're interested in attending one of her classes. 😀 That's another one I think I won't be ready for but might be worth paying just to see her perform live.

you guyyysss! your makin me so jealous!!! i agreee though, i wouldnt feel ready yet for a class with the pros! ive been in contact though with her and pantera on facebook cos if they do any shows, id defo head to dublin or uk to see them, but the class, not so much! i have lots of work to be doing on my pole first! glad to hear ye enjoyed it though, as i said before, jealous 😉 xx

hey irish cailin we will be hosting Pantera workshops in dublin on the 13th & 14th of july in our studios. As the majority of Spin students are at a beginner/intermediate level, most of the workshops will be catered to just that, rather than just people that can SM, TG and RG to their hearts content! She'll also be doing a performance at the end of them, and, of course, the ever awesome Deb Riley will also be in attendance to keep an eye on Pantera 😀 . I'll let you know details when the times & costs are set. (And this way you've got 4 months to practice and get better for the class!) xx

i was planning on staying in milan for june and july! but feck that! il be back definatley for that! unfortunately, il be a month away (all of june and cant bring pole 🙁 ) so il be even rustier 🙁 which suckss but oh well! perfrmance at the end is worth it! and then for the rest of the summer il be dancing to my hearts content! 😀
