Dangers of a Spider.

I havnt been on that much all week because is had some what a family matter. I am trying to get caught up on forum and videos. I have been at the hospital twice, because my 14yr old daughter was bit from a spider, cant beleive how many problems they cause. Monday morning I noticed that she had a puffy mark on her lower part of her cheek near her top lip. It looked kinda like a pimple but had a dark center and then red. I asked her if it was itchy , she said yes. She also told me that she was squeezing it, and pus was coming out. Not thinking much of it , because I thouht it was just a pimple with a scab, and the reddness came from her playing with it. Later that night when she got home , her whole cheek was swelled. I even noticed that she was looking puffy under her jaw line and somewhat in her neck. We took her to the hospital and they really couldnt tell us much , but ran some test. They mention that is was some kind of a insect bite, so they put her on an antibiotic and sent us home. The following morning she didnt look better, she looked more puffy. Right before dinner time , I woke her from a nap. When she came out of the room , it looked llike she was hit by a max truck. Her eye was swelled close and she was puffy on her forehead on one side. She couldnt even open her mouth to much. I looked at her neck and the swelling is now down to her shoulder. I got right on the phone with the hospital , they told me to bring her right in. Of couse they didnt have the results from her test the night before. Back at the hospital for the second night , she went through so much. They decided to IV her ,first time going through the vine. They pumped her up with some kind of steroid to get rid of the swelling, and also get her another kind of antibiotic. They drew alot of blood also . They doctor finally came in a few hours later and told us it was reactions of a spider bite. They sent us home again , with two more meds for her to take. When she woke up yesterday morning , her face looked so much better . The swelling was going down, and noticed that she was feeling better too. Today is back in school , and feeling much better. Thank god it is over , it was such a scarey thing. Thanks for reading my post , I just wanted everyone to beware of how much damage a little insect can do.
