crunchy tendons in foot!!

So I've been experiencing some pain in my left foot between the seam of the toes and the ball of my foot, i hear its called crunchy feet.... feels like something in the tendons and when i get to dancing on the balls of my feet it is painful, and also affecting my neat lines, pointing toes.. etc. I've been massaging it with either a marble or tennis ball, and that does help ease the pain however its been 6 mo now as I'm ready for this to be gone!! Any suggestions would be appreciated:)
