I am so happy that I got this. I kept doing it when I got home from class!! This is a big accomplishment for me. I am overjoyed to have had Amy show me this!! Practice will make perfect!! 🥂

i have a question about how you are doing that, im not trying to criticize, i just have never taken an actual class so i was wondering how you were taught this.... it looks like you are only holding the weight with the bent knee and hand, your left leg looks too far away from the pole to aid in grip? when i do it its more like just crossing my legs and leaning back, and both legs are gripping ive never tried to use the hand. so i guess im just wondering if your left leg is gripping or if you are only holding on with the bent knee? and does it hurt a lot?

hey chica this looks good! when you go into your sit, turn the knee of the left leg towards the pole and rotate your leg inwards-- this *should* help you to get the right leg really crossed over it with as little airspace as possible between the top of your left thigh and the bottom of your right thigh! 😀 and make sure you are getting that pole really secure in the crease of that right knee pit, you don't want it just against your calf or you won't be secure when you take your hand off. polebunny, how does your left leg aid in grip? although the pole is inbetween your thighs, the two points of contact that act in tension to keep you on the pole are the inside of your right knee and the underside of your crotch/crack of your butt (for lack of a better anatomical term). although the left leg helps to push the right knee up and into the pole, i could drop my left leg down or swing it out to the side and my hold should still be stable.
amy- i'm not sure! this is one i'm still working on, so i was wondering about form. are you saying you could (should be able to?) swing your left leg off the pole while in a ckr? then, how would your legs stay crossed? like i said i wasn't trying to criticize just gain insight 😉 😳

I was taught with it just against my calf...but I have found out that I was taught a lot of things wrong so this shouldn't really surprise me. Another thing to relearn...
