coping with anxiety?!? :(

This might be surprising to some people because when I tell people about it they always go "really? you are always so happy i would never guess!" but as a teenager i was diagnosed with severe anxiety/depression. the depression has gotten much better but it seems like my anxiety is getting way way worse in exchange. i worry way too much about everything, when i think about things that are particularly unsettling to me my stomach even feels sick because i get that worked up about things, it's crazy. for example my most recent worry is my dog...she is a ten year old german shepherd and i am worrying so much about her not being around for much longer...but besides from arthritis in her back legs and a little bit of a limp she is just fine so i have no idea why i am worrying about something i don't even have to deal with yet! but that is my biggest problem, i am a big "what if" person or i will worry about things that are going to happen eventually but not anytime soon (like my doggie.) does anyone have any experience with this or any ways to help focus on enjoying now instead of worrying about what will happen ten years from now. i am also going to get my medication dosage increased or switched to a new one (I am taking wellbutrin now but it doesn't seem to be helping) but that takes a while to kick in and i also don't want to be so reliant on medication that i have no ways of coping with the anxiety within myself. my paternal grandma and my dad are both the same exact way and have always been huge worriers/had anxiety so i think part of it is hereditary and also just because I have seen them doing it for 24 years and I learned from their example. even my dog i mentioned above has always been anxious/nervous and doesn't like to go anywhere besides our house because she has anxiety (it's so true that pets pick up personalities of their owners) and i'm having anxiety worrying about the dog who has her own anxiety too, it's really just ridiculous when you think about it! i totally feel like a freak for even admitting all of this but if i'm making myself nauseous from anxiety i feel like i need to talk to other people about it besides my therapist (wow now i feel like an even huger freak after admitting that haha) this is something i have kept mostly hidden from people besides my family, even my boyfriend of over a year and my bff for the past 7-8 years don't know the full extent of my anxiety because i don't want them to think i'm totally off my rocker. I just don't want to be like my grandma and dad who have spent the majority of their lives dealing with anxiety, i would like to try to eliminate it completely but i don't even know if that's possible. i've done some googling but the websites that come up haven't been too helpful...any advice or coping mechanisms you guys have would be great, i am kind of at a loss for what to do about this 😐
