Confused! =(

What order do you learn pole moves in? I watch videos and see some AWESOME moves, but i'm not sure what order to learn moves in. I feel like i learn things completely out of order, and do advanced moves, but can't do intermediate moves. For instance, i can do a butterfly and extended butterfly, but can't do a superman. Is there a certain list of moves to be able to master before you go onto harder ones??? Can some of you wonderful ladies possibly post a list of moves to try? I'm like hitting a freakin brick wall. But the good news is Santa is going to bring me the art of pole dvd set for Christmas so i'm really hoping that works. but untill then.. please help. 😢 Thanks a bunch! <333 😁

Hi Miss Phoenix !! Maybe you can try by REDKE71 videos on youtube to get to know moves and spins from levels... even though there are times you got to do moves really difficult for others because you just find them more easy to try on ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8PLPi0M8bM contains the first ones... It is important to learn moves in progression by order. Just being capable and strong enough to do advanced moves doesn't mean you should be doing them early on. Learning how to move around the pole so that you look good at what you're doing and learning the mechanics of pole work and using the pole safely is important before you start doing advanced work. Not only does this make your pole work look nicer but you learn safety and avoid risks of injury by starting out slowly and with basic moves. There are many websites which list moves and spins according to level of difficulty. http://www.wikipole.org and http://www.verticaldance.com are two that have pictures which are listed according to level of difficulty. Vertical Dance also has one of the best instructional DVD sets around for new students. While it does not have as much content being a two-volum set, I believe it details how to do the moves better than any I've ever seen. It Santa can manage it, both the Vertical Dance and the Art of Pole would be fantastic gifts for Christmas!

veena's lessons are the best in my opinion; plus she does her lessons from beginners moves all the way up to the most advanced, plus she has transitions and stretches in there too 🙂 check them out if you have the chance, ive learned a ton of moves from her 🙂

Everyone learns at a different pace and in a different way....it all depends, I mastered a cartwheel mount before I could do a superman! I do have my lessons placed in the order MOST would progress in, but there are always exceptions. The new lessons will help break down things even more, and I let you know what you might want to be working on before you try a move. 😀 Don't worry your not weird or anything, 🤓 adding strength training move to your pole work outs can help you get some of those moves you find difficult right now.
