There are many styles on pole dance and she was demonstrating the fitness aspect of pole not the exotic! Too bad pole dance still has a negative stigma 🙄 I think she did a great job representing the gymnastic side of pole dance. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfSr0uzVCeY&feature=rec-HM-fresh+div

I posted the link (to the news article) a week or so back on my facebook profile with exactly the same sentiment. I guess we have to keep chipping away at the negativity in our own way day by day. I would also say the reporter says "no official complaint has been received" or something similar which sounds to me like its a news item that has been swayed and inflated slightly to make it more of an issue than perhaps it was for the pupils or the school at the time.
