comparing the diameters

So I have now officially tried all the pole diameters available in the U.S. I noticed something weird. Going from a 50 to a 45, you can drastically tell a difference in the diameter. Going from the 45 to the 40, it's not that much of a change, but going from the 45 to the 38 you can drastically tell the difference again... This is at least what I've noticed for me.
