So I ordered my first pole yesterday! I am totally excited and can't wait to get it here. So today, I was doing a little prep work, getting a stud finder and such. I was checking on where exactly I could put my pole and I noticed that if I press on the ceiling...it moves ๐. I live in a second floor apartment, which has popcorn ceiling and if I press on the ceiling, it moves. So my question is...What do you all think? My dad thinks I should get a 2ftx2ft 3/4inch thick board with some kind of foam or something and use that against the ceiling to help distribute the pressure. I just wanted to see what you guys thought since most of you have expierence with poling and I have yet to even get mine. PS this is making me a little dissapointed about the situation because I was so excited about learning how to do this. Any tips or advice/perspective would be great! Also... Are you suppose to install the pole between two joists or directly in the middle of one? Thanks Mindy
